Generations is Valvetrain’s most personal and dynamic album yet — a powerful blend of classic heavy-rock grit and modern-metal intensity, packed with big riffs, melodic hooks, and a strong emotional core. Across its nine tracks, the band moves between driving grooves, soaring vocals and moments of real vulnerability, channelling influences from Black Sabbath to Sleep Token and Architects into a sound that feels both familiar and fresh

You will find a record that feels both raw and polished: songs about personal struggle, resilience and pushing through the chaos of a world that often feels like it’s collapsing. Whether it’s the groove‑driven Tear It Down, the emotional weight of the title track Broken World, or the expansive, story‑driven Into the West, the album captures the heart of Valvetrain — heavy, honest and built to be played loud.

Rust feels like opening the door to Valvetrain’s engine room. The album blends classic heavy‑rock grit with the melodic sensibilities that have since become a signature of the band. You hear the roots of their influences — everything from early Black Sabbath‑style heaviness to the modern textures that would eventually push them toward more progressive ideas. While later releases show a more polished and expansive sound, Rust carries the unfiltered spirit of a band carving out its identity. The guitars grind, the rhythms lock in with no‑nonsense momentum, and the vocals ride that fine line between hard‑edged power and emotional weight.

Valvetrain, the EP is where the entire story begins — the band’s first spark, first roar, and the first time the engine turned over and announced itself to the world. Originally recorded in 2016, this EP captures Valvetrain in its most primal, instinctive form: raw riffs, unpolished energy, and a sound driven by sheer passion. Even in these early songs, you can hear the DNA of what would eventually grow into the heavy, groove‑centred style behind later releases like Rust and Broken World. There’s an immediacy to the performances — the kind of chemistry that can only come from a band finding its feet while pushing hard at full throttle. But the EP didn’t stay frozen in time. Following significant line‑up changes, the record was remastered and partly re‑recorded in 2028, giving it a new lease of life. The updated version preserves the spirit of the original 2016 sessions while enhancing the sound with the maturity, skill, and evolving chemistry of the later Valvetrain line‑up. It’s both a restoration and a reinvention.
